Training courses

Training courses are offered to the oil industry on the geology, tectonics, palaeogeography and petroleum prospectivity of eastern Indonesia and Timor-Leste. Courses/workshops can be from two to five days duration, and are tailored to the individual requirements of the company. The principal areas covered in the course may include:

Regional geology
- Overview of the geology of eastern Indonesia/Timor-Leste
- More detailed description of areas of specific interest

Regional tectonics
- Discussion of alternative models for the Tertiary regional evolution

Palaeogeography and evolution
- Development of the eastern Indonesian region through the Palaeozoic and Mesozoic

Petroleum geology
- Review of hydrocarbon occurrences in the eastern Indonesia region and the history of exploration
- Overview of Banda Arc prospectivity
- Island-by-island detailed prospectivity review

Field-based training courses can also be organised.
