The Triassic-Jurassic of the Banda Arc region, and it significance for hydrocarbon exploration

The Triassic and Jurassic are the key time intervals for the main petroleum system of the Banda Arc region, including the primary source rock sequence (restricted marine calcareous shales, described as a 'world class' source for oil), clastic and carbonate reservoir sequences (proven and potential), and overlying thick sealing shales (see Figure 6 in the linked page, and Figure 19 below).
